4 Lines Deuces Wild is a video poker game played with 4 standard 52-card decks, shuffled after each game. It differs from the original Deuces Wild game, since it has four lines of cards. Each line makes use of a different deck and each line is treated as a separate hand. The object of 4 Lines Deuces Wild is to obtain a five-card poker hand that contains a winning combination. All the winning hands are paid according to the paytable, so the winning amount is cumulative.
After a player places a bet, s/he is dealt 20 cards – 5 in each of 4 lines. The lower line of the cards is revealed. A player chooses which of 5 cards, if any, s/he wants to hold, and which wants to discard. The cards held are opened and held in all 4 lines. That means that a player has a column of the same cards opened in all 4 lines, thus multiplying his/her chance to win. The cards discarded are replaced with new ones from the deck in all 4 lines.
The game is called 4 Lines Deuces Wild because a deuce ("two" card) stands for any card and helps to turn a losing hand into a winning one very quickly.
